OTOMETOBER DAY 31 ~ DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY! And it’s time for the most important question of them all: Who is your ultimate husband? The love interest to end all love interests?! The otome man your heart beats for?!?

If it wasn’t obvious…mine is Impey Barbicane!
I adore his brimming energy, his endless positivity, his good humor even when he is being roasted on a spit by the other guys. His bravery, his devotion, his easy smile. He chases his dreams and doesn’t let his painful past bog him down. He never fails to steal the show and make me laugh whenever he appears on screen!
I think my crush on Impey carried over into Doug and now redheaded himbos are my thing.
Thank you for joining me on this otome journey! Whether it was on Tumblr, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, or in a Discord server. It was a fantastic walk down memory lane and a celebration of hot otome men! If you enjoyed this, let me know and we shall certainly do it again next year, albeit with new prompts.

OTOMETOBER DAY 30 ~ It’s down to the wire and the time to choose is now! What is your favorite otome game of all time?

My favorite game is…Code: Realize!
Hatoful Boyfriend is a close second, which should tell you how fantastic the story is. I do think Code: Realize could’ve benefited from a little more fluff (which is uncharacteristic coming from me, who dislikes too much fluff)–I felt like the love interest routes needed at least one more chapter to make falling in love feel a bit more believable–but nothing is perfect.
Okay, except for Saint Germain’s face.
The art is gorgeous. The men are sweet and supportive (I joke that they’ve ruined real men for me). The sense of adventure and action is there. Cardia, the main character, is lovely and you badly want the best for her after everything she’s been through. I wish I could erase my memory and go back to enjoy the game all over again!

OTOMETOBER DAY 29 ~ Oh lawd he comin. One of the most controversial tropes of all: The Yandere. Whether they’re drugging you, locking you in a cage, committing murder, or burning down the world for you, their love for us takes a twisted form that some love and some despise. What about you? Who is your favorite yandere–or if you don’t have one, the yandere you can’t stand the most?
(Spoilers for Nightshade and Amnesia: Memories)
Personally, I like softer yanderes who would do anything to protect you. Kuroyuki is a good example of this. His actions may be wrong, but there’s no denying his love for you, and paired with his tragic backstory it all makes sense. If a yandere has a good reason for why they are the way that they are, I usually wind up liking them.
THEN THERE’S THIS GUY.
Toma, you may make me rage and I don’t like you personally, but I appreciate what you’ve done for the community. The face that launched a thousand cages.

OTOMETOBER DAY 27 ~ It’s time to get creative! Do you have an otome OC? Maybe it’s your self-insert or your ideal love interest? Show them off or tell us about them!
One might say I have a whole cast of original characters! Haha, but you see them all the time, so I doodled something else: OWLS AS OTOME LOVE INTERESTS. Which one would you date?! Can you guess what kind of owl each one is?!

Totally not for anything nope not at all, but like who would be the protag in a BcB Danganronpa crossoer.
Ooh, someone other than Cadence? …I think Tom would make a good protagonist. He has decent values and the potential to make friends out of most people. On the other hand, I would also enjoy a suspicious Marian protagonist just to change things up.
OTOMETOBER DAY 26 ~ We are in the final stretch! You all hanging in there? Drink some water! Hahaha. Now it’s time for a deeper question: Which character are you most similar to? Who do you relate to most?
I’m gonna go with Sakuragawa from Collar x Malice.
She’s got her priorities straight and so do I. It takes me a little bit to warm up, but I’m a loyal friend when I do and I encourage my friends to vent to me…bonus points if it’s over a drink. ;)
I feel like there is also a piece of myself in every main character of Band Camp Boyfriend as well. It only makes sense when so much of the game stems from my life experiences. Each character carries a little piece of my heart.
I’m back from vacation. :) Looks like the tumblr queue did it’s job while I was gone. WIP Wednesdays will resume next week!
OTOMETOBER DAY 25 ~ The relationships between other characters can be just as fun as the ones you are cultivating yourself. Rivalry between love interests can be a blast, but so is unbreakable friendship. Which bromance is your absolute favorite?
I’m a big fan of Ikki and Kent’s dorky friendship even if I want to physically fight Kent. Another I love is Impey and Saint Germain. Sainty G loves to give the others a hard time, but you can tell how fond he is of Impey. I only played their triangle date three times over.
There are so many friendships in Band Camp Boyfriend that I adore! Some only pop up in certain routes. I wish I could talk more about them, but I want them to be a surprise! One we do know is Tom and Peter, a friendship that will last a lifetime.

OTOMETOBER DAY 24 ~ Sometimes, your heart starts to beat for other reasons. Things get dark and dangerous. A chill runs up your spine. Maybe you even scream. What’s the scariest moment in an otome game you can think of?
I’ll be real with you, I’m super extra and I like to scream and make a scene whenever a hot psycho like Ukyo or Yang shows up on my screen. However, I cannot deny…danger can heighten the attraction.
There’s a pretty creepy moment in Samuel’s route that sends chills up my spine too. I wonder if you’ll encounter it~?
OTOMETOBER DAY 23 ~ I’ve seen a lot of gorgeous merch in my time on the Otome Reddit. There are some incredible collections out there! Time to show it off–let’s see your collection or your favorite piece of merch!
